CLINICAL TEAM

MELISSA DEARMONT, MSW, LICSW, LIMHP, CMSW has been practicing in the field of mental health for over 30 years. She is licensed in Nebraska, Wyoming and South Dakota. As the founder of Midwest Country Clinic, llc, Melissa is passionate about rural families and specifically the challenges of mutigenerational families in production agriculture. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska -Lincoln, Arizona State University, and the Nebraska LEAD program. Melissa has experience in local and State government agencies, local and State incarceration systems, parole, administration, reservations, dialysis consultation and private practice. In addition, Melissa specializes in the treatment of Trauma and has been providing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for several years. Growing up and currently ranching with her family in North Central Nebraska, Melissa has a unique understanding of the challenges and strengths of rural life. She combines her urban knowledge and experience with her rural roots to provide quality, professional, individualized services.

MURLENE OSBURN, APRN-Nurse Practitioner. A rancher in the Sandhills of Nebraska, Murlene worked as an Registered Nurse for several years before returning to school at UNMC to focus on her Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specialty. She owns Sandhills Behavioral Services, llc and sees clients at our Valentine and Bassett, NE locations.

When Murlene is not sharing her gift of psychiatric assessment and care, she is enjoying her children, grandchildren and blessings of ranch life.

Jennifer Einspahr, PLMHP, received her bachelor’s degree from University of Nebraska at Kearney in May, 2020. Jenn completed her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in November, 2023 from Bellevue University. Jenn is seeing clients in our Kearney, Loup City, and Ord offices. She enjoys working with clients of all ages and backgrounds and is EMDR certified. In her spare time, Jenn enjoys spending time with her family and doing all summer things outdoors.

Sally Davis-Jackson, LIMHP, LICSW, earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, California, in 1990. She later completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in the fall of 2019. Sally has a passion for working with children, adolescents, and families. She primarily serves clients at the Bassett and Valentine, Nebraska locations. She is a trauma-informed specialist trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and she has recently completed training in Sandtray therapy. Sally is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment, especially for children and youth.

Welcome! I'm Dena Pirnie, a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Counselor (PLMHC) dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, understanding, and support. I believe that therapy should be a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to create meaningful change. I provide counseling services through Midwest Country Clinic in the Bassett and Valentine locations. I work with adolescents and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, grief, trauma, and other emotional challenges. My approach is individualized and collaborative, recognizing that every person's experiences, strengths, and goals are unique. In my work with clients, I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Person-Centered Therapy. Together, we will explore challenges, identify strengths, develop healthy coping skills, and work toward goals that align with what matters most to you. Seeking counseling can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to face life's difficulties alone. Whether you are navigating a specific challenge or looking to better understand yourself and your experiences, I am committed to supporting you throughout your journey. My name is Amber Keefe. I'm a wife, mother and lover of life. I'm originally from Scribner, NE and have lived in central Nebraska since 2009. I knew from an early age that I wanted to work with children, but wasn't sure what specific avenue would help me feel the most fulfilled; like I could really make a difference. I've always been curious about why people do what they do which led to my pursuit of a psychology degree which I completed at UNK in 2014. So how could I combine those two worlds together? The opportunity to expand my education fell into my lap after about a year of working at an outpatient mental health agency as a tech. I completed my graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in May 2019, also at UNK. GO LOPES! Wouldn't trade my experience there for the world. You should go there, too! I have been employed at Midwest Country Clinic ever since then. I decided private practice was the best route for me in order to ensure a flexible schedule for a family. Together with my husband, Gage, we have one daughter, two year old Sadie, who is the love of our lives. My hobbies and interests include baking, jamming out to heavy metal rock music, golfing, cleaning and spending time with my family.

Hailey Ahlman, PLMHP received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Illinois State University in May 2020. Hailey completed her Master of Science in Education Clinical Mental Health Counseling in December of 2023. Hailey has experience working in-home with parents, adolescents, and children as well as experience working with individuals recovering from addiction. Hailey especially enjoys working with families and children and is based out of Broken Bow, NE. Outside of therapy, Hailey enjoys spending time with her family as well as her cats

Rita is a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner and Licensed Clinical Social Worker from Central Nebraska. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of NE at Kearney and a Master’s Degree in Social from the University of NE in Omaha. Much of Rita’s career has been working in various hospitals and healthcare institutions in NE and CO, including the Veteran’s Administration. She has a passion for helping people and their families navigate the complexities of how illness affects their life. This includes working on how a person’s mental health can influence their well-being. She also worked in the field of Human Services for several years helping families who experienced abuse and neglect. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and has received training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy as well. She believes everyone comes with a unique story and that we often need a little assistance in reworking those beliefs that aren’t serving us well. It’s just a matter of finding the right person to walk with us through it. She provides evening sessions as well as in-home therapy. Rita and her husband have four grown children and three grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family.

Rebecca enjoys working with adults and adolescents through individual and group counseling sessions, also providing Substance Use Evaluations. Rebecca has a passion for helping others know and understand their worth and purpose. She loves hanging out with her three grown boys, their families, and her grandchildren, as well as, her tribe of very good friends. She also loves travel and everything about home.

MiKayla Wetzel, graduated from Northeast Community College in Norfolk, Nebraska in 2015, with a degree as an Administrative Professional and has a passion for all things office-related. She brings strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a love for creating efficient, welcoming environments. She joined Midwest Country Clinic in April 2026 as the Office Manager. In addition to overseeing daily administrative operations, she also manages the clinic’s social media presence and website, helping strengthen communication and connect the clinic with the community. She primarily works remotely while also spending time in the office to support the team. Outside of work, MiKayla is a proud dog mom who enjoys spending time with her two dogs. She loves reading, being with friends and family, and spending time outdoors—especially going for walks, boating, and camping whenever she can.

Erica has spent the majority of her life in North Central Nebraska enjoying her family, reading, baking and raising her children. Erica is another happy voice one will encounter when reaching out for services at Midwest Country Clinic, LLC.

No matter what location you are calling to schedule services at, Erica may be helping you! All services for all locations are scheduled at (402) 684-2908. This is our Bassett location where Erica is waiting to help clients get scheduled, address questions, and manage all the workings of the Midwest Country Clinic offices. You may also see her "virtually" waiting for you at one of our satellite locations.
